Best used for

Indenting, minifying or checking the syntax of JSON used in an application, API or configuration file. Formatting improves readability while minifying removes insignificant whitespace.

What the result changes

Syntax validation does not confirm that fields or values meet application rules. This JavaScript-based parser may collapse duplicate keys and round integers outside the safe integer range. Preserve the original before formatting data that depends on exact numbers or duplicate keys.

Check before you finish

Review duplicate or misspelled keys, number precision, escaped characters and application-specific requirements. Keep a copy before replacing production configuration, even when the parser reports valid syntax.

Example: make a compact JSON object readable

Paste {"name":"Ana","items":[1,2]} and select Format. The object should be indented across multiple lines. Minify removes the extra whitespace again. The indentation is for reading; it does not validate whether your application accepts those fields.

If parsing fails, look for a trailing comma or an unquoted key. Save the source before formatting: duplicate keys or integers beyond JavaScript’s safe range may not survive parsing unchanged.

Private by default

Device files are processed locally inside an isolated browser workspace and never uploaded to Free2Everyone.
